Family & Cosmetic Dentistry

Laurie Jayne Toomajanian, DDS
Dr. Toomajanian was born and raised in the metropolitan Detroit area. After graduating from the University of Michigan Dental School, she began practicing in Northville in 1988 at the previous location on Center Street. She enjoys the Northville area and supporting the community. Dr. Toomajanian continues to attend post-graduate courses to stay up to date on the latest dental technology, including facets of cosmetic dentistry and oral-systemic health concerns.

Dr. Toomajanian resides in the area with her husband Randy and daughter, Meredith, now a UM grad and now pursuing her Masters in Psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys the arts, health/fitness and spending that time with her family.

Maria Peters, RDA
I’m Maria, one of the dental assistants. I’ve been assisting for 30 years and have had the privilege of working with Dr. Toomajanian for 7 years. Outside of the office I enjoy gardening, camping and am very interested in the environment and related issues.

I feel fortunate to be associated with a staff that not only practice quality dentistry, but truly try to get to know our patients on a personal level. Being an all women office is a plus, because we can all relate to motherhood, housework, working outside of the home, and a new pair of shoes.

Kerry Duff, Front Office Administrator
I’m a dental assistant and receptionist at Dr. Toomajanaian’s office. I enjoy my job very much because of my co-workers and patients. We have lots of laughter together. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, camping, boating and site seeing. I love living in Michigan near the Great Lakes.

John F. Pankopf, Financial Administrator
In addition to writing the checks in a timely fashion, I also reconcile the checking account, produce financial reports, maintain good relations with our vendors, banks and the landlord. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Finance from Bucknell University and over fifty years experience in business management. While I have only been working with the practice for a few years, my family and I have been patients of Dr. Toomajanian almost from the beginning of her practice in town.

My wife and I have lived in Northville for twenty years and are delighted to be here. We have three grown children and three young grandchildren. My wife continues to teach as a substitute in the Northville School System. We like spending time with our grandchildren, walking, golf, traveling and gardening.

Linda Winter, RDH
I graduated from O.C.C. dental hygiene school in 1993 and have been practicing ever since. I still have a love and passion for my profession. In my early years my passion was music, playing the piano and 15 years of studying ballet, tap, and jazz, both here in Michigan and New York City. I do Jazzercise and yoga 3-4 days a week, and walk my dogs daily. I also enjoy cooking – mostly so I know we are eating healthy. I love gardening and have 2 perennial gardens and 23 rose bushes. Last year I tried my thumbs at vegetable plants and hope to plant a few more this year. One of my hobbies is painting furniture. I have done many pieces for myself, friends, and family. People tell me I need my own shop…but I’m afraid I would be a starving artist. So, I think I will keep my day job!

Teresa Simpson, RDH
I have enjoyed working in the dental field for 25 years.  I was a dental assistant for 7 years and have been a dental hygienist for 18 years. I have been married to my husband Don for 14 years. We have a daughter Anna who is 9 years old and loves dolphins!  My favorite things to do are cooking, bicycling and spending time with my family!

Maureen Michel, RDH
I’ve been working in the field of dentistry for over 25 years in a variety of settings including a dental lab, and in both general and periodontal practices as a dental assistant and hygienist. I enjoy providing patients with personal attention, education and thorough care. Outside of work I have a husband, Britt and a beautiful 18 year-old daughter, Andrea. I’ve experienced great joy in raising my daughter, being involved in her school, church and sporting events. Now, as a recent “empty nester”, I’m looking forward to volunteering more in our church and community, reading, exercising, traveling, sailing and enjoying some of Michigan’s great scenery from the back of my husband’s Harley Davidson.

Diane Murray, RDH
I am a recent graduate from University of Michigan’s dental hygiene program. For as long as I can remember I’ve had an interest in dentistry; I worked part-time as a dental assistant for 7 years, but as a hygienist, I’ve truly developed a love for my work and the people I provide care for.

My husband and I were married in 2006, and so far we are parents to a very playful and sweet 2 year old Great Dane and two children, big brother Joshua and Mia, just born in December 2012. In my spare time, I most enjoy spending time with family & friends. I also love to read, sing, and travel.
